Manufacturer’s continue to slowly push out updates for the “Stagefright” Android vulnerability that was reported in July.  If you are running an Android based smart phone, you should check with your manufacturer to see if any updates are available.  If not, consider switching your messaging application to Google Hangouts, Textra or ChompSMS which have some built in protections against Stagefright.
